I did some research on the Acura and its stalling concern. One thing I did find is a recall from Acura for the ignition switch going bad. The ignition switches are causing the engine to shut off and usually the car will restart (according to the recall). This recall only includes certain 1999 3.2 TL - depending on the vehicles VIN # My advice here is to call your local acura dealer and see if any recalls are due to be done on your car. Any recall should be repaired at no cost to you. You will need to give them the cars vehicle id # when you call and they should be able to check and see if any recalls or campaigns are open. If this is not the problem then you are going to need to have it checked, probably by the dealer because they are going to need the proper test equipment to scan the computers and check for any codes in the system. Plus ,if this is a common problem with these cars the dealer will know what is wrong and they will be able to fix it the first time instead of replacing incorrect parts. In the long run this will cost you less money to repair. Please let me know what you find out. If I can help you in any way just let me know! |
