Can you please recommend an auto mechanic in the South Tampa area?

Our son has our 2001 Hyundai Elantra down in Tampa, he was told that he needs to have a timing belt changed, could you please give us an idea of what this type of repair will cost. We have already dealt with a Hyundai dealership, and feel that their prices were high.

The cost on replacing the timing belt should be around the  $350.00 range. I wish I could give you a name for a repair shop because I understand how frustrating it is to find a good repair shop.

My advice is to call several (at least 3) repair shops in tampa and ask for an estimate over the phone for replacing the timing belt. Use the price range I gave you and the price the dealer gave you as a guide , this will help you determine where you should have the repairs done and you will have a good idea if you are getting a fair price.

please let me know what you find out for prices and I will help you any way I can.
