2002 ford Taurus overheat when a/c its on I change the thermostat and still overheat. I check the fans and when the a/c its off they work fine when I turn on the a/c the fans don't turn on

The fans should be on when the A/C is on. The fans are working with the ac off so you know the fans do work, this means you have a fan control problem.

Check all of the relays for the cooling fans, you could also have a pressure switch problem in the a/c system. If a pressure switch is not reading properly it will not turn the fans or ac on .
